PaperImperium@ImperiumPaper

Ever wonder where a crypto lies in the evolutionary tree of money? USD stablecoins are evolution’s favored child - the product of thousands of years of natural selection. And Bitcoin and ETH are the first new major currency families in 500 years. I mapped all currencies in use today back to their ancestors (and traced some extinct lineages). Nearly all descend from the first coin struck in Lydia ~630 BC. ~15 descend from India, through the rupee. The Siamese tical and (rebooted) Cambodian riel each have a single descendant. The US dollar - originally 371.25 grains of silver - hangs off a long, proud lineage Aside from Cambodia, BTC and ETH are the only currencies that start from nothing - no conversion, no peg, no metal, no commodities behind them. To avoid survivorship bias, this tree also shows major families that died out: the Mesopotamian shekel, the Egyptian deben, Chinese cash, cowries, Aztec cacao, Ethiopian salt bars, Inca cloth and Yap's stone money.

    Agentic banking

    Deutsche Bundesbank

Arc@arc

Pulsar is building a stablecoin-native money app on Arc. The goal: help people hold, convert, transfer, and spend across currencies from one unified experience without making them manage chains, bridges, gas, or routing. Under the hood, Arc gives @PulsarMoneyApp the infrastructure for: → USDC-based fees → Deterministic finality → USDC and EURC flows → StableFX for currency conversion → Circle infrastructure for crosschain stablecoin movement Stablecoins become the product ingredient, not the product interface. http://www.arc.io/blog/how-pulsar-is-building-a-cross-border-money-experience-with-arc

Token Relations@TokenRelations

NEW: @Anchorage Digital acquires @RoutableHQ, a payouts platform that helps enterprises pay out globally across 220 countries. This will allow companies to issue stablecoins and send payouts from the same platform, with settlement available in dollars, euros, stablecoins, or tokenized deposits. @sergiofly, global head of digital asset infrastructure at @Anchorage, recently explained on @_TalkingTokens why companies need stablecoin rails that support all types of global currencies and regions: "If you look at how finance works today, you have the US networks, you have the European settlement network ... you have domestic ones like in Brazil that work really well, but there's no real global settlement network. That's exactly what stablecoins solve. So offering a very efficient solution on a global scale is unseen, and the fact that now it's also a regulated instrument is the real unlock."

    💯💯💯

my prediction: personal ai agents won’t monetize through monthly subscription fees. they’ll monetize by owning the fintech stack and earning revenue every time their users spend money. Instinct already measures internal performance based on monthly payment volume. to monetize this they can: > issue their own Visa credit card > earn 2-3% interchange on every transaction > negotiate bulk discounts directly with merchants > take a percentage of the savings they generate > earn yield on balances sitting inside the ecosystem instead of charging you $20/month to use your personal agent, the agent becomes the interface through which you spend thousands of dollars every month. if your agent books your flights, hotels, restaurants, and everyday purchases, owning the payment layer underneath becomes far more valuable than a $20/month subscription. the biggest personal ai companies will end up looking less like software companies and more like fintechs. personal ai agents + fintech will eventually blend into an entirely new category: agentic finance.
