Why is @tryramp releasing a token router, AI harness, and now a coding agent?
@eglyman says they followed their clients.
Token-based AI usage introduced real marginal and variable costs to software.
"It didn't matter how much you used Excel; you still paid the same. That's not true with AI"
It led Ramp to ask how businesses can get more productivity from every dollar, hour, or token.
And they had the answer internally: managing the cost of tokens, routing them, and helping build context around employees.
That's why soon 50% of Ramp's revenue will be from software, not cards.
Ramp is worth $60bn and 70% of its R&D team is working on products it hasn't released yet.
