As chaos and mass confusion sweeps through the cryptocurrency and "prediction market" space, it has been confirmed Tether was able to freeze over $1.5 billion in crypto, preventing a catastrophic theft of money. However, cryptocurrency block chain schizos estimate the total money stolen may now be as high $5 billion (minus the $1.5 billion frozen). Nothing is solid yet. But, we do know for sure Tether was able to save an unfathomable amount of money by moving quickly. Excellent work by the Tether nerds.
